This pendant began as a snake found already deceased in the woods of northern Portugal. The vertebrae were carefully extracted from the snake and cleaned in studio, a process totaling over 12 hours. The intact vertebrae were then used as the mold in a low-waste sand casting process. The result is a direct cast that captures the detail of the original form.
