The Faceted Drop Studs were made using multiple techniques. The sculptural top pieces were made from hand formed beeswax and casted into homemade no petroleum casting sand. The cascading misshapen rectangles are hand sawn from the first successful experiment in making aluminum sheet metal from the repurposed tire rims. The process to make these one of a kind earrings was 10 hours.
The stud tops are attached using a cold connection rivet post, developed in studio. Made from repurposed aluminum using a zero-petroleum sand casting process. Lightweight, tarnish-free and hypoallergenic.
